Nightkill (First viewing, YouTube) - 5.5/10
Following her husband's murder, the wife of a rich businessman is terrorized by a mysterious stalker. A private investigator, who is not what he seems to be, tries to solve the case.

Despite a few plot twists, Nightkill plays and feels like a made-for-TV movie with little tension. The only draw to me is seeing Jaclyn Smith.

Jaclyn Smith, Robert Mitchum, Mike Connors, James Franciscus star. Ted Post directs.

Genre: Crime, Mystery, Thriller
Worth watching? Only if you are curious to see Jacyln Smith's acting
Worth re-watching? No
Bottom-line? Watchable
*N=New to collection :-D, U=Upgrade :), DD=Double Dipping , R=Replacement for damaged disc :-?

The Hunting Party (1971) (First viewing) – 7/10
A wealthy rancher Brandt Ruger (Gene Hackman) and his gang of four men, armed with long-range rifles, brutally hunt down a notoriuos outlaw Frank Calder (Oliver Reed) and his posse who have abducted Brandt’s wife.

Genre: Western, Thriller
Worth watching? Yes, for fans of savage bloody western
Worth re-watching? Yes
Bottom-line? A nihilistic, nasty western that is worth adding to your collection

Hell Night - 6.5/10
Four new fraternity teenagers, as part of their initiation ceremony, must spend a night in an abandoned manor that is believed to be haunted by a maniac.

I watched this on video ages ago and hardly remember anything good about it. Nothing horrific, but it's marginally better than One Dark Night. Not blind buying the upcoming BD.

Genre: Horror, Thriller
Worth watching? Yes, for fans of 80's slasher movies
Worth re-watching? No
Bottom-line? Only for fans of 80's slasher movies

The Salamader (1981) - 6.5/10
A national military force counterintelligence officer (Franco Nero) is assigned to investigate the killing of an Italian political leader. With the assistance of his senior colleague (Martin Balsam), he uncovers a conspiracy led by the Fascists to overthrow the Italian government.

The music by the great Jerry Goldsmith slightly helps to elevate the overall excitement to this otherwise bland political thriller.

Anthony Quinn, Sybil Danning, Christopher Lee, John Steiner, Eli Wallach and Claudia Cardinale co-star.

Genre: Crime, Political Thriller
Worth watching? Yes, strictly for fans of the actors and 80's political thrillers
Worth re-watching? Yes, only if you like the actors. But one scene is not worth-re-watching:
[Reveal] Spoiler:
Django in a jockstrap!

Bottom-line? Great cast, thrill-less thriller
