Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, 3D version uncut

Postby André_Jølsen » 20 Jul 2015 07:41

Hello all :)

I have the steelbook version, it is listed as; "Blu-ray B United Kingdom - Studio Canal - 3D Limited Edition".
It looks like the UK version us the uncut one, longer than the US version.

Anyone knows if the 3D version is the full uncut version?
A lot of times ((World War Z) the 3D versions is shorter than the 2D version...

It is indeed the longer cut. I own it. Some great 3D.

Very cheap at £4.10 too - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Universal-Soldi ... lpoirev-21

3D is pretty good too. Only thing I hated was that bright flickering light strobe effect they use a couple of times. It's pretty brutal on the eyes.

May as well have called it "Universal Soldier: Day of Epilepsy" I have the Australian standard BD of this which is also uncut, assuming the 3D one is the same but i'm not about to double-dip for the sake of finding out. It's pretty good but I much preferred Regeneration.

It reminded me of a Gaspar Noe 'assault on the senses' film, like seeing IRREVERSIBLE at the cinema again.

As for the film itself, when I wasn't looking away from the strobe lighting, I liked it as much as REGENERATION: Van Damme and Lundgren 'do' HEART OF DARKNESS, with some bone-crunching violence thrown into the mix. Fun times.
'I ran out of ambition at the age of 27': Peter Cook.
