Searching for L'Inferno

Postby Antonio_Torres » 03 Jun 2019 03:37

I have looked almost EVERYWHERE for a DVD copy of L'Inferno (1911). I know of two releases, one being from 2004 with the Tangerine Dream Score, and the other being the release from Cineteca de Bologna which included the booklet and DVD. I would prefer to own the release from Cineteca de Bologna and if anyone had an information as to how I can get my hands on it it would be very appreciated.

There is a copy of Tangerine Dream Score release available at Finnish auction site, i can offer my help to get it. It is listed at 24,99€ (buy it now price) or you can leave an offer. Shipping (within Finland) is an additional 2,99€.

:( Someone already bought this copy of the movie. I'll keep my eyes open for other options.

As you probably know, the only quality restored copies of this film are the UK Snapper DVD and the Italian Cineteca di Bologna DVD with bilingual book. The latter is a more recent and complete restoration, and has a choice of two appropriate scores. But both releases are deleted and fetching high prices. I'll keep an eye out for any cheap copies too, but just make sure you avoid the French Bach Films bootleg and the cheapo US PR Studios DVD, where it's paired with Häxan.
