There is, proof in the linked page. http://www.pseudopodium.org/ht-20000903.html

Also the Run Time for this release is 105:11

The link doesn't state the screenshots are from the Joy Sales DVD, and since the webpage is from 2000, it must be shots from the old non-anamorphic DVD.

Do you have the Joy Sales DVD and can confirm the text is also missing on that one?

The screen-caps are from some VHS release as quoted below on that site.

But the original release, as shown in theaters and on VHS, goes on to explain...

According to that site their DVD release has no text ending because it was removed for most likely political reasons. I have no other answer.

The ending's even easier to overlook on the DVD release, because it's been removed, probably for political reasons.

And the DVD then rests on this very long freeze frame

The JoySales version definitely doesn't have the text. I do own it hence why I gave the run time. As for the other DVDs I can't confirm as I don't own them but they all most likely do not have the text ending.

The DVD release that site must be referring would likely be the first DVD release on the market as I think the JoySales was released around 2006-ish.

The JoySales version ends with a long freeze frame shot with no text.

Thank you. Updated!

Also sent a message to Estebon who gave the specs for the Blu-ray to see if that edition needs updating.

Well this one just keeps springing up surprises. Seems we have a mistranslated name, well, maybe an extra name.

The Chinese title translates as Knife Horse Actresses, a term used in Peking Opera to refer to male actors playing female warriors (See Dan article for details). It is sometimes erroneously translated as Knife Horse Dawn, because both words are represented by the same Chinese character.

I don't think any release has ever called it with the Actresses term so idk if it even counts for this site now that I have thought about it. Ah well, it's some trivia at least.
