Ok, finally... Believe it or not, it's actually even more complicated than this; I've simplified it considerably! The original widescreen European cut disc has minor compression issues which look like slightly excessive DNR (
Caps-a-holic). Both sets' (4-BD and UHD/5-BD) discs were affected. Remastered replacements were issued and can be obtained by sending a photo of your receipt or screenshot of your order to
zombi@kochmedia.com.
The remastered disc was issued solo in 2017 (ASIN B0756K695Y) and this is what you'll receive as a replacement.
There are two different permutations of the corrected discs, with minor label typography and matrix number variations. Original discs have the serial numbers 1018830 (4-BD set) and 1017750 (UHD/5-BD set). Both corrected discs have the same number: 1018830. There are only two sure ways to discern the corrected discs. The easiest is if it has a copyright date of 2017, but the first corrected disc is dated 2016, like all the faulty ones. The corrected discs have these matrix numbers around the data side's hub:
BVP 25052 1018830CD1R1/L0 01 A03 IFPZ 14
BVP 25053 1018830CD1R1/L1 01 A03 IFPZ 14
For extra clarity, the
faulty discs had these matrix numbers:
BVP 22485 1018830CD1R1/L0 01 010MM IFPZ 13
BVP 22486 1018830CD1R0/L1 01 A01 IFPZ14
