To the Italian version: First, the transfer is defenitely inferior to the German and French versions. At the end, there are only two shots, so I guess it's the theatrical version. To the music: Rolling Stones "Brown Sugar" and Keith Emerson "I'm A Man" are missing and also not credited at the end.

Bonus-DVD

Title: Nighthawks
Country: Germany
Region: R2
Releasing Studio: Koch Media
Case Type: Mediabook
Aspect Ratio: 1.33:1 (US TV version)
Anamorphic?:
PAL or NTSC?: PAL
Soundtracks: English Dolby Digital 2.0 Mono
Subtitles (optional): German
Cuts: 91:19 (US TV version)
Commentaries: -
Extras (English, optional German subtitles, exception noted):
US TV version (English only, no subtitles)
"A Sign of the Times" interview with actress Lindsay Wagner (10:03)
"Not the Other Girls" interview with actress Catherine Mary Stewart (4:13)
"Nighthawks: The First Draft" interview with writer Paul Sylbert (9:25)
"We Gotta Shoot This" interview with director of photgraphy James A. Contner (23:37)
"It Was Hell" interview with technical advisor Randy Jurgensen (10:24)
"Lights Camera Action" audio interview with producer Herb Nanas (15:30)
Hollywood U.S.A. - Sylvester Stallone (English, burnt-in French subtitles, optional German subtitles) (16:05)
Nachtfalken - die geschnittenen Szenen (Nighthawks - The Cut Scenes) (2:09) -> there is an introduction in German which says that Stallone wanted this movie quite differently and that there was huge studio and MPAA intervention. The cut scenes vanished but with studio photographs, text and interviews they re-created the original scenes. So it's rather a slideshow with explanations than actual cut movie footage... (in the interview "A Sign of the Times" with actress Lindsay Wagner she mentions that practically all the scenes between her and Stallone were cut.)
Notes: At the beginning of the US TV Version there is a text message "This film has been modified from its original version. It has been formatted to fit this screen and edited to run in the time allotted and for content." Two shots, not six at the end. Songs from the Rolling Stones "Brown Sugar" and Keith Emerson "I'm A Man" are present and credited at the end.

Notes: French title: "Les faucons de la nuit". At the moment only a steelbook version is available. There are some German, French and Spanish language parts in the movie which are not subtitled if "no subtitles" is chosen in the menu. BUT: There is a second French subtitle option which translates those parts - you can choose the second subtitles only by remote control, not in the menu (all other English dialogue isn't subtitled if you choose this second subtitle option via remote). Songs from the Rolling Stones "Brown Sugar" and Keith Emerson "I'm A Man" are present and credited. End of it: Two shots, not six.
