Odeon Entertainment changed their name completely to Screenbound Pictures in September 2016 (https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/comp ... ng-history). The packaging and label of the latter's BD and DVD re-releases do not mention Odeon anywhere.

The ASIN of the original 2010 Odeon DVD (listed) is B001Q58KY6, while for the region ALL, 2016 Screenbound DVD (unlisted) it's B01C4490LY.

The original Odeon BD is region ALL, not B, as currently listed. It also says so on the J card.

The current listing is unclear, re the UK faulty discs:
The limited edition of 4,000 steelbook's disc's are ALL faulty. The corrected replacement supplied was of the Screenbound reissue disc.

Fixed most of it. Is the Screenbound DVD identical to the Blu-ray or just a reissue of the 2010 Odeon?

I don't own the 2016 DVD but it's discussed in the BD.com forums as also being the corrected reissue. Odeon didn't issue a DVD equivalent of their 2015 steelbook BD, so the only other one is their 2010 DVD.

This is complicated so here are some suggestions to cover the remaining errors in the comparison:

German Wicked-Vision BD footnote:
The transfers on this edition have several errors - see footnotes.

The Odeon BD's currently missing runtime is 97:40.

Odeon BD footnotes:
["Cover says Region B." - Delete: it doesn't state any regions; it just says region ALL on the J card. This error may have been copied over from DVDBeaver.]
Includes a 12-page booklet with an essay by horror writer Johnny Mains.
The transfer on this edition has several errors - see footnotes.
For a time, a corrected replacement disc was issued on request by Odeon's successor, Screenbound. It was from their corrected keepcase reissue.

Screenbound BD footnotes:
["Cover says Region B." - Delete: the sleeve correctly states region ALL.]
Corrected reissue of the Odeon Blu-ray - see footnotes.

The page footnotes are unnecessarily long, inconclusive and out of date. What's more, the linked Zeta Minor forums thread requires a login to view. I've read through that 20-page thread, around a dozen Facebook posts from Screenbound and their staff, and all attendant comments; around 500 in all. I suggest replacing all the footnotes with this simple summation:

OVERALL WINNER: UK
The Screenbound release has decent extras and a corrected transfer. The German release has an additional, slightly different version of the film and more extras, but both transfers are faulty - see below.

Three errors slipped through on Pinewood Studio's initial 2015 restoration:
- In Christopher Lee's segment, his scream as he's being loaded into the ambulance is mixed very low; the correct version is loud and piercing.
- The musical sting when the god appears in the voodoo segment is missing altogether.
- The last scene of the film, as the devil walks along the platform, is truncated by around 30 seconds and the music ends abruptly, instead of a slow fade.

All these faults were later corrected. The UK Odeon and German Wicked-Vision discs have the faulty transfer, whereas the US Olive and UK Screenbound discs have the corrected one.

You're welcome, Eric. Some further amendments:

The Odeon and Screenbound BD entries still say "Cover says Region B." This is false; see my previous post.

The new abbreviated Odeon BD entry footnote currently has no context. It would make more sense changed to:
"Faulty transfer: a temporarily available replacement Blu-ray was identical to the Screenbound keepcase edition.

I didn't quite make my previous footnotes clear enough and think they look a little confusing. This can be fixed if you'll add a single word!
"The German release has an additional, slightly different version of the film and more extras, but both its transfers are faulty - see below."

I forgot to suggest updates for the CUTS section:
Odeon: Yes (97:40) - missing some sound cues and end scene footage; see above.
Wicked-Vision: Yes - missing some sound cues and end scene footage; see above. Includes the UK theatrical version (98:41) and German theatrical version (97:26).

Lastly, I don't own the German BD but it seems extremely unlikely that its UK version runtime is 98:41, as currently stated, as this makes it exactly a whole minute longer than it should be. Can this be double-checked with whoever supplied the info?

The source of the German running time appears to be OFDB. I have hidden the entry for now (along with the German comments) and will see if I can find more accurate specs elsewhere and put out a request for info.

Nice one, Eric. I'd also like to know what the exact differences are with the German version, as I can't find even a brief explanation anywhere. Apart from German language credits, I assume it's simply edited slightly differently, in terms of shot length and placement.

Yeah, I've seen the DVDBeaver comparison (of course!) but held off from mentioning that timing. On this occasion I don't even trust that 100%, as it's identical to the Olive to the millisecond, which seems pretty unlikely. It's possible it's a copy/paste error. New comparisons are uploaded to that site at a phenomenal rate, which is brilliant, but the QC often suffers and mistakes are seldom rectified.

It would be great if one of our own could get their hands on a copy and report back in detail.

The timing is probably a cut and paste error since the comments do confirm the end shot is missing. I believe the German version ends as soon as they see dr terror’s real face.

Thought I’d best comment before this thread gets locked off and dead filed. Is anything happening, re obtaining the German specs?

Gone through my contacts asking if any collectors have the disc without luck. I will put out a request on some forums. The thread will stay open for now in case any other members can answer.

Thanks. Can you tell me what the audio codec is for the German theatrical version on the Blu-ray? Dolby Digital, LPCM, or DTS-HD Master Audio and number of channels?

I forgot the hidden features:

In "Bonus" (Extras) go to the entry "Deutsche Endsequenz" ("German End Sequence") and press the left key on the remote control. Now another menu appears where you can choose between 4 additional trailers and one little supplement:

"Bob Dorian Intro" (English, optional German subtitles) (0:57)
"Der Foltergarten des Dr. Diabolo" (Torture Garden) (German, no subtitles) (2:33)
"Die lebenden Leichen des Dr. Mabuse" (Scream and Scream Again) (German, no subtitles) (2:09)
"Irrgarten des Schreckens" (Asylum) (German, no subtitles) (2:40)
"Madhouse" (German, no subtitles) (1:40)

And: There is also a third edition available (a keep case): B017167P3K (different cover) and a steelbook: B07D54L15L
