Jersey Boys (2014) - Not the type of film you imagine Clint Eastwood directing. An interesting biopic on Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons. 3.5/5

The Quiet Man (1952) - Not worthy of a best picture Oscar nomination IMO (where it lost to The Greatest Show on Earth), but still a good Ford/Wayne pairing that is more than worth a look. 3.5/5

Westworld (1973) - The first film to ever use CGI which is a fun little fact. This was pretty fun, and I loved the idea behind it. Some of the set pieces could have been better, and I now want to check out the TV show as I imagine current technology could add a lot to this. 3.5/5

Les Miserables (2012) - Fantastic production values, but they shouldn't have bothered with the big names and left the singing to the supporting cast. 3/5.

The original Westworld series from the 80s BEYOND WESTWORLD is appalling Sam & was cancelled very quickly. :o .The new version has been well received I gather.

Goon: Last of the Enforcers (2017) - An enjoyable enough sequel which kind of lost its original charm somewhere along the way. Jay Baruchel's character went from the best thing about the first film, to the worst thing about the sequel... 3/5

War Pigs (2015) - Dolph Lundgren and Luke Goss DTV war movie with an appearance from Mickey Rourke. Not enough action, and poor dialogue. 2/5

Extraction (2015) - Bruce Willis is clearly churning these DTV movies out for a quick pay cheque now, but I thought this was one of the better ones. It's far from great but the hand-to-hand combat scenes were pretty good. I think this has received much harsher criticism than it deserves. 3/5

The Goonies (1985) - My favourite film of all time, so 5/5

Dog Eat Dog (2016) - Paul Schrader's direction is a bit all over the place with this one. It has some great moments, especially the final act, but the journey there was too messy, even with Schrader's usual crazy stylings. 2.5/5

Torture Garden (1967) - I'm not the biggest fan of the Amicus Anthology films, but Diabolo makes this one worth a look. 3/5

The Maniac (1963) - I'm pretty sure another film from the same era has an identical ending to this but I can't think which. I may just be mistaken and have possibly seen this Hammer before. 3/5

The Gorgon (1964) - The start is far better than the end. Another of Hammer's more average outings. 3/5

The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb (1964) - Good fun, but they really needed to involve the Mr. King character a lot more than they did. 3/5

Fanatic! (1967) - My favourite film from Powerhouse's Hammer Volume 1 Collection. Perfect casting and some really tense moments. 3.5/5

Fragment of Fear (1970) - I'd never heard of this until its release but it is a solid British suspense with some good twists. 3.5/5

Colonia (2015) - I'm sure this film is pretty inaccurate to the actual Colonia Dignidad cult in Chile, but I thought this was of Emma Watson's better choices at becoming considered a serious post-Harry Potter actress. 3.5/5

Sean Lock: Lockipedia Live (2010) - Sean Lock is someone I will add to my "funnier on panel shows, than in stand-up" list. 3/5

Talk to the Dead (2013) - Japanese horror based around a phone app that lets you talk to the dead. Has a couple of moments where it felt it was getting interesting, but the director failed to keep me hooked. I was disappointed this came from the same director as future J-Horror classic Premonition (2004). 2.5/5

Life Stinks (1991) - Not as good as Brooks' parody films, but some pretty funny moments. 3/5

Kill Me Three Times (2014) - The soundtrack is horrendous - offputting even - but get past that and it's an okay dark comedy. 3/5

Young at Heart (1954) - Doris Day and Frank Sinatra have both done better. 3/5

My Favourite Wife (1940) - Funnier than I was expecting, especially in the courthouse towards the end. Another Cary Grant movie ticked off the list. 3.5/5

Minions (2015) - The Despicable Me films are quite good, though nowhere near Pixar or Dreamworks standards. However, cashing in the popular side characters does not work as well as I imagine Illumination had hoped. 2.5/5

I also checked out three shorts on the Minions Blu-ray:
- Cro Minion (2015) 2/5
- Competition (2015) 2.5/5
- Binky Nelson Unpacified (2015) 3/5
