The Snake Woman (1960) - Correction

Postby Tim_Rogerson » 31 Oct 2013 10:25

Please note that I have the Movies 4 U Horror disk set and the copy of The Snake Woman on this disk runs 67m56s and not the 77m stated in the entry on this site.

Personally, I am a little miffed about this as I queried the 77m running time a couple of weeks ago only to be assured by soemone in this forum that it was defintely correct and I shouldn't be so silly. Whenever I put a running time on an entry I put on this forum it is always a real one based on the disk itself not a made-up one.

Please can you adjust the entry.

I work away a lot but I will reply to all PM's within a few days so please have patience!

I would add that iot is quite a nice print of the movie - a lot better than the horrible DVD-R that I previously had.

It is indeed 67 minutes, so it appears to be the same version that has been available from unofficial sources (the mail order VHS and the Brentwood disc).

The DVD-R I purchased from a well-known market seller appeared to be a copy of a US VHS release and was in terrible condition with lots of print damage and a computer-generated title card. It ran over 1m shorter than this new release.

I would add that the Movies 4 U release does appear to be uncut with BBFC cuts made in 1960 restored.
