:o Good luck with getting through all that, I thought my 30-odd unwatched movies was getting a bit out of control.

Out of 11200+ releases in the collection, 3000 isn't too bad as a % compared to most people. :)

Not really arrived but i was out at the local carboot sale and picked up 112 films, apart from a few Blu-rays all are DVD. I don't really buy that much DVDs now-a-days but as most were really cheap i couldn't resist.

What is the going rate for films at car boots Andris?

Are you still in Inverness? I was through there for a night a few weeks back (Highland Hotel - not bad, but not worth £140 to have some donkey playing bagpipes non-stop until after 10pm). Popped into the CeX and loved the fact it has a whole entire floor just for DVDs. Very very slow till service though (expected with the logistics). Picked up plenty of little £0.10-£0.50 DVDs, and a bunch of cheap Blu-rays. Never got the time to go into the comic book shop that is along the back of the high street though. :(

It really depends on each seller but most of the time the going rate is £1 across the board, which obviously not always is a good deal per se so if the release is really good i'm happy to pay the asking but most of the times i try to haggle. :)

You do see some people letting them go for 50p. The trick with carboot's probably is to buy in the last hour or so as at that point many people are wanting to clear as much as possible from what's left and you start seeing deals like 4 for £1 and even lower.

I managed to get 66 DVDs from a few sellers for 10p each and then i had several deals based around 4 for £1 price. :) Basically got a lot of films for fairly little money.

Have to say never bought any films from CEX so will have to have a good rake around the place next time i'm in there, which is rather often.

Yes, i'm still in Inverness so let me know when you are coming this way next time, maybe we could catch up for a pint. Image

Have to say, not a fan of Inverness to be honest. It was just a quick stop over. Much prefer Aberdeen (my brother lives there), which is where my destination actually was, for a helicopter underwater escape course. I live to your West though in the Uists.

Now, that sound a bit exotic, wouldn't mind to swing round one day. :)

You got them for free? Are they used? Are they in "Like New" condition?

Tell me how to get them... I'm very selective when it comes to buying used DVDs. In fact, I've never bought them online. But I wouldn't say no if I could get them for free
