R2 UK re-release by BFI
BFI has released this film twice with different specs:
- spine number BFIVD528 released I think in 2001 (specs already in the database) (review: http://film.thedigitalfix.com/content/i ... %EAte.html)
- spine number BFIVD771 released in 2008 (specs below) (review: http://film.thedigitalfix.com/content/i ... %EAte.html)
Differences:
- BFIVD528 has special packaging and various featurettes (including "Screening at the Majestic") that are not included in the later version
- BFIVD771 is taken from the restored print (the print is much cleaner: most of the damage, scratches, etc have been removed) and has a 32-page booklet. Subtitles are optional (and newly-created, according to the sleeve).
