What the term "zoomboxed" actually mean? Sounds a bit confusing term.

Zoomboxed is when all four of the edges are zoomed in and cropped off to make the image larger.

So basically it's "cropped" then? Point is that why use these weird terms when we have a simpler ones. ;)

I guess most people see cropped as either top and bottom, or left and right, whilst zoomboxed is all four sides being cropped.

You don't hear the term that often these days, but it was quite prevalent during Laserdisc.

Well, if people prefer "zoomboxed" over "cropped" then I guess it's fine. To me "cropped" means that it can be cropped from the sides, from the top and bottom, or from all four sides. "Windowboxed" is a proper term and means that there are black bars on all four sides (but nothing is cropped).

"Cropped on all 4 sides" is what I would have said, but the original entry used the word "Zoomboxed" so I kept it as that.

I slightly updated the wording. Are there any links to mono comparison (MGM vs Italy), btw? So that people would hear the difference.
