Digibook ASIN: B07W7N5Z1M
Steelbook ASIN: B0BFRMPQQ6

Are the standard Blu-rays region free as well? The packaging says B.

Apologies - the one thing I forgot.

Technically, the two Blu-ray discs are Region B locked. However, with my player (Panasonic DMP-UB390) set to either region A or C, after the 'wrong region code' message appeared, I was still able to access the discs by pressing Stop-Top Menu-Top Menu. All good. :-D

Thanks James. Just to clarify or perhaps correct what I stated, for the Extended Version, although the Italian subtitles appear by default on the extended/added scenes (with English audio), they are not forced as, although they cannot be disabled with the disc menu, they can be disabled with the player subtitle options - which I just discovered. :-D

Therefore, the note could read:
The extended scenes were not dubbed in Italian, and during these scenes with the Italian dub it will revert to the English audio track with Italian subtitles. The English track also defaults to Italian subtitles for the extended scenes, although these can be disabled via the player subtitle options.

This is also true for the French ESC release, which I checked myself, and was going to register a correction for. Hope that helps. :x-mas:

So for both cuts, there are Italian HoH subtitles (with character names, sound effects etc.), and are these dubtitles transcribing the Italian audio? There are no translations of the English audio?

The English audio on both cuts has optional regular Italian subtitles (not HoH) and the Italian dub on both cuts has optional regular Italian subtitles (not HoH).

The only difference is with the Extended cut where the extended/added scenes only have English audio regardless of the language track selected. Also, during these extended/added scenes regular Italian subtitles will automatically appear regardless of whether you have selected the English or Italian audio, and these can only be turned off via the player subtitle options and not the disc menu options.

It is rather confusing, but I hope that makes sense now.
