Al Capone (1959) - Warner Bros, France

Does anybody know whether the French Warner Bros DVD of the 1959 film "Al Capone" (starring Rod Steiger) has forced French subtitles? I have seen a picture of the back cover and the film plays in English only, with French subtitles provided. Thanks.

If it's a Warner release I would be very surprised if the subtitles are forced' but I can't rule it out. Perhaps the Italian release will be a safer bet, as it seems to carry Italian/English audio but no subtitles in either language.:

Added the French disc. Found specs but didnt state whether forced or not.

The person I was thinking about buying the Warner Bros (France) DVD from has now confirmed that the French subtitles CAN be turned off. Good news, because he says the picture quality is terrific - I hope he's not exaggerating !
