OUR FORUMS HAVE FOUND A NEW HOME.

The move of our forums to a new home has been successfully completed this weekend. You will now find them at www.forums.dvdcompare.net. In theory, every single forum link on our site has been updated. However, if you do spot any old links, please let us know via the forums or, if you are not registered as a forum member, the Feedback form.
Please note that forum registrations are still temporarily suspended but will re-open again shortly.

We are planning to move our forums over a long weekend, starting tomorrow. If all goes to plan the new forums will be up and running on Sunday. Keep an eye on this page for further updates.

We are looking for an enthusiastic reviewer to join our team.

Over the years our review section has grown to become an integral part of the website, covering titles from every major studio and independent distributor including boutique labels. The workload has increased since Blu-ray was announced as the winner of the HD war and releases are becoming more regular.

With the influx of titles it can sometimes be hard to keep up. This is why we are looking for a new reviewer. It is important that you have an HD set-up and are capable of reviewing Blu-ray discs, although you will also be asked to review DVDs as well, so if you are HD ready, have a love for movies and TV, can keep up with release deadlines and are keen to review a variety of titles then we would love to hear from you. You must meet the following requirements:

- Excellent writing skills
- A suitable knowledge of film and TV
- You must be HD compatible (HD TV and Blu-ray player)
- You must have a home theater set-up with minimum 5.1 speaker system
- You must have an understanding of the technical aspects of DVD and Blu-ray (aspect ratios, audio formats etc.)
- You must be over 17 years old and currently reside in either the United States or Canada, unfortunately we cannot accept applicants from other countries at this time.

Like all the team members working on the site, it is completely voluntary and does not pay but the perks are the free copies of the latest DVDs and Blu-ray releases from major studios that you get to keep. If you are interested, please email us at admin@dvdcompare.net with the following details:

- A sample review of a recent film

REWIND REVIEWS ARE MOVING

We have been working behind the scenes for a long time to establish a way of having our reviews on the main Rewind site and we can now announce that it is becoming a reality.

There are a very small number of reviews which have already moved across to our Rewind Reviews area of the main site and we will now begin to move the remainder across, as well as start to create new reviews ON THE MAIN SITE ONLY. So bookmark that link now - it will eventually become your one and only source of Rewind Reviews.

In addition, any release listed in a comparison which has an associated Rewind Review will be marked with this logo which provides you with a direct link to the detailed review.

This will be a very time consuming exercise for us and, during this period, you may notice that we are not so hot with updating the comparisons database with your comparisons, corrections and requests.

Lastly, the alphabetical indexes available on the forums will be kept up to date with updated links when reviews are moved.

We hope you all had a very happy Christmas and an enjoyable New Years Eve. During this festive period our Site Manager Adrian Busby has been working hard behind the scenes to transfer the entire site over to a new server. This has now been successfully completed and the additional added flexibility the new server gives us, allows new features to be added throughout 2008. The Rewind Forums will reopen later this month.
