This hardware is very poor. A buddy of mine has one and it's crap compared to mine.
Plus all Oppo players don't functioning properly for long.

It's not out yet. The Oppo site asks if you want to sign up to be told of availability.

The OPPO's are great bits of kit for the money. I know several people who swear by them and they often get high marks in What Home Cinema and Home Cinema Choice, also at all the major trade sites like the avforums. I'd have no problem buying an OPPO and haven't in the past.

What player do you have Jim?

I didn't mean this model. Some different. But they all the same when it comes to picture quality.

Cheap is cheap. Period.

Source? Because this is a load of rubbish.

Not true at all. You can get capable players for a lot less than you think.

It's a nice player and I found the specs in English. They;re are good specs, but practically industry standard really among the non-budget players. Realistically, few can afford to drop £2200 on a player, but what you get with the OPPO for £500 specs wise makes it look like a nice bit of kit.

I'm happy with my multi-region Oppo 83 (bought June 2010) and Oppo 93 (bought October 2011). They get a lot of use, and have, so far, been reliable. Whichever breaks down first, and is BER, will probably be replaced by an Oppo 103 - unless they survive so long that an even newer model is available.

I'd love one of these, but could never justify buying one to the missus :-D I'll have to make do with my trusty old multi-region Toshiba ("Hello, Tosh. Got a Toshiba? [....] We are talking quality" - remember those old ads?)

If it's good enough for Primare
http://www.homecinemachoice.com/news/ar ... view/10654
then it's good enough for me since I can't afford the factor 7 price increase for the "upgrade",
especially if you're tone deaf.
(Correction: it seems the Primare BD-32 upgrade is of the basic Oppo BDP-93, not the 95.)

Anyway, the multizone version arrived today. (So, finally got to watch the BR of "Twins of Evil"
which had been sitting there taunting me.) Still playing with the set-up and the interaction
with the plasma display, but looking good so far.

then it's good enough for me. O.K. I can't afford the factor 7 price increase for the "upgraded"
higher spec Oppo over the original basic Oppo.

Sometimes I regret paying such amount of money coz BR discs aren't that good anyway. Got rid of hundreads of them recently. Decided to keep only the best. :-D In the most cases DVD is more then enough. Real HD is yet to come...

Heh, no, I meant properly created HD transfers. Almost every transfer on BR is nothing but an upscale.
