OVERALL: Draw
The R1 "Director's Cut" has the edge over the R2 Scandinavia (Director's Edition) and R4 Australia 2-Disc editions since it includes a 5.1 track on both cuts of the film. With the R1 release, you can also watch the branched "Director's Cut" scenes separately.
Note that the R6 release offers a full bitrate DTS track but only on the Theatrical Cut and it is a vanilla release.
Also note that, while the Director's Cut features a longer 'Tool Shed' scene, the infamous shot of Matrix hitting one of the soldiers with the man's own arm (which Matrix cut off) is not present. -
