The Region A Criterion releases & Region B StudioCanal Collection releases each have exclusive extras.
Note that the "Code Name: Melville" documentary on the Region B releases can be found on the Region A Criterion release of Le silence de la mer.
The UK Melville box-set loses extras from the standalone StudioCanal Collection releases. It has a bonus disc with 2 additional features, but note that these features are not specific for this film and can also be found on other Blu-ray releases of other Melville films:
- "24 heures de la vie d'un clown" short film can be found on the Region A Criterion release of Le silence de la mer and the Region A Kino Lorber release of Léon Morin, Priest.
- "In the Mood for Melville" documentary can be found on the Region A Kino Lorber release of Un flic.
The identical French 4K + Blu-ray, German Remastered, and UK Vintage World Cinema have a 4K restoration transfer with a new documentary, but loses some of the extras from the previous Studio Canal releases.
The Criterion 4K + Blu-ray reissues also have a 4K restoration transfer and ports all the previous edition's 2003 trailer. -
