    OVERALL: Draw

    Between all three editions.

The R1 edition has commentaries on 4 episodes, and other extras. Its aspect ratio is fullscreen, as originally broadcast on American TV, and - allegedly - as series creator James Cameron intended it to be seen.

In R2, the show was broadcast in widescreen, and the R2/R4 editions have anamorphic widescreen transfers. Unfortunately, they miss out the R1 commentaries and several other extras.

It's up to you. If you want widescreen transfers and all the R1 extras, you will have to buy two sets.
