    OVERALL: Draw

    Between the R1 CE and the R2 German SE, both of which contain the film's original mono soundtrack (with the original foley track), and the R2 UK and R4 SEs for their DTS sound. (However, please note that the DTS mix on these DVDs and the 5.1 soundtrack on all releases contain a newly-created foley track, with newly-recorded sound effects.)

    Please note that the R1 CE and the R2 German SE both omit the 'photo gallery' feature that is found on the other 'special edition' DVDs, and the R1 CE is also missing out on the 'Restoration: Italian Style' featurette.


    General notes:
    German "Paramount" SE (by TLEFilms), and MGM SE -releases are using the different restoration, which are both very good. 5.1-track on the German -release is from the MGM, but Mono-track is restored by TLEFilms.
