All releases are the same.
GENERAL NOTES:
The MPAA gave the original cut of the film an X rating and forced them to make numerous omissions in order to get an R rating (including a shot of a fireplace poker stuck in the forehead of a zombie, blood spattering out of the back of the head of a zombie - the take used in the R-rated version has no spatter - and another zombie's head exploding). As of 2025, the Uncensored Cut has been made available with the original Theatrical Version through the 35th Anniversary 4K/Blu-ray combo pack. Some of these shots can also be found in "The Dead Walk" documentary. -
