The 8-disc set contains the first 5 films AND ALSO Freddy's Dead - The Final Nightmare, Wes Craven's New Nightmare and a Bonus Disc.
The original R2 UK collection only contained the first 5 films (on 5 discs). However, a 6-disc collection was released June 2004 which also includes Freddy's Dead (but not Wes Craven's New Nightmare or the R1 bonus disc and Freddy's Dead does NOT include the ending in 3D). October 2004 saw the release of a 7 disc set which adds Wes Craven's New Nightmare but STILL doesn't contain the R1 bonus disc. -
